Beef with Black Bean

Serves 4


  • 500g lean beef strips prepared from rump blade or round steak
  • 2 tsp vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp chopped ginger
  • 1 red capsicum sliced
  • 2 sticks celery sliced
  • 200g snow peas
  • 1/4 cup black bean sauce


  1. Mix beef strips with oil and ginger.

  2. Heat a wok or fryingpan on high and stir fry strips in small batches for 1-2 minutes.

  3. Remove when cooked and allow wok to reheat before stir frying the next batch.

  4. Add capsicum, celery and snow peas to wok with a sprinkling of water. Steam for 2-3 minutes and return stir fried beef strips.

  5. Stir in black bean sauce and toss to heat through for about 1-2 minutes. Serve with rice or noodles.
