Recipe by Twins Eileen & David, 9yrs
- 500g heart smart beef mince
- 1 onion chopped
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon mild paprika
- 2 tomatoes, chopped
- 2 cups shredded lettuce
- 1 cup tasty or cheddar cheese, grated
- 1 avocado, peeled, stone removed and mashed
- Hard tacos shells
- Salsa, to serve
Preheat oven to 180ÅãC.
Heat a large non-stick frypan over high heat.
Add onion and soften.
Add mince and cook until browned.
Add cumin and paprika.
Mix well to combine.
Reduce heat to low and simmer for 10 minutes. Add some water if the mixture becomes too dry.
Heat taco shells in the oven for 5 minutes.
Serve all toppings in small bowls and let each person create their own taco.
